Colored Water

Colored Water adds colored water to Minecraft, as the name suggests. There are four types available, and it does exactly the same thing as vanilla water.

Fluid Types & Crafting

Every colored water bucket is crafted using a shapeless recipe in a crafting table or your 2x2 inventory grid by combining a Water Bucket with dyes and modifiers:

Normal Colored Water Bucket

Condensed Water Bucket

Standard Edition Upgrades & Mixing

In the Standard Edition, you can place an existing colored water bucket back into the crafting grid with additional dyes, Redstone, or Glowstone Dust to alter its color and properties.

Cauldrons & Dyeing

Cauldrons can store colored water, mix colors, and dye equipment... it works just like a regular cauldron! You can add dyes or any ingredients you want to change the color or properties of the water.

Dispensers

They work just like regular dispensers: they can place colored water or scoop it up if they find any.

Fluid Behaviors

Colored water behaves just like vanilla water:

  • Waterlogging: Can waterlog any waterloggable block (slabs, stairs, fences, etc.).
  • Bubble Columns: Placed above Soul Sand creates an upward bubble column; above Magma Blocks creates a downward whirlpool.
  • Lava Interactions: Flowing into lava generates Obsidian, Cobblestone, or Stone.
